Black’s Funeral Homes offer three burial packages, each available in Silver, Gold and Platinum versions. The Full Monte Burial Packages include the basic services of the funeral director and staff, embalming, cosmetology, dressing, casketing, the transfer of remains to the funeral home and the local use of a hearse. The staff is available to the family for an evening viewing and a funeral the next day. The Silver, Gold and Platinum Packages feature a register book, 100 memorial cards, a memorial blanket, a casket panel, a memorial DVD incorporating up to 50 photographs, an around-the-clock grief counselors service and an estate settlement kit. A difference among the packages is that the Silver comes with a sterling silver Fingerprint keepsake, the Gold includes a 14-karat yellow or white gold Fingerprint Keepsake and the Platinum provides the family with a 14-karat yellow or white gold Fingerprint Keepsake with a .05-carat birthstone. Also, only the Gold and the Platinum Packages offer a memorial candle and only the Platinum gives a Securigene DNA Preservation Kit. The Same Day Saver Packages have all of the above services, however the staff is used for a 2-hour viewing and a same day funeral. The Graveside Burial Packages do not include embalming or cosmetology, and the staff is used for graveside service. For all packages, the cost of the goods and services provided will be discounted if the family buys the casket from the funeral home.

Cremation is a popular alternative to burial and Black’s Funeral Homes provide comprehensive services. They can arrange for the burial of the cremated remains at a graveside service where the loved ones of the deceased gather to honor him or her through memorial prayers and other meaningful tributes. A scattering ceremony may be designed to spread the ashes on land, at sea, in a memorial garden, cemetery or another place that holds meaning. A loved one’s cremated remains may also be interred in an urn garden, columbarium niche, family plot, memorial site or in another indoor or outdoor place. The cremains can be distributed among several different urns so that family members with significant geographical distance separating them can share in the comfort of having a portion of the ashes of the loved one nearby.

Black’s Funeral Homes also offer exclusive services such as Eternal Reefs and Celestis Memorial Space Flights. Eternal Reefs places your loved one’s cremated remains in an artificial reef ball that will serve as a permanent memorial. The cremains of loved ones and pets may be placed near each other. Celestis Memorial Space Flights take your deceased’s cremains up into the cosmos. In addition, the funeral directors of Black’s Funeral Homes are authorized agents for LifeGem and Memory Glass. A LifeGem is a certified, high-quality diamond made from the ashes of your loved one that serves as a permanent memorial. Memory Glass makes solid glass sculptures and keepsake jewelry with your loved one’s cremated remains suspended within.

Black’s Funeral Homes offer 5 cremation packages that combine the services and merchandise most often requested, and can also build a package based on your specific needs and budgetary limitations. The Full Monte Cremation Funeral Packages come with all of the features of the Full Monte Burial Packages, plus they include the retort fee and the move from the funeral home to the crematorium. The Same Day Saver Cremation Funeral Packages are similar to the Full Monte Packages, but with the visitation and funeral held on the same day. In addition to the two funeral packages, Black’s Funeral Homes offer two packages that cater to families who decide to hold a memorial service for their loved one in lieu of a funeral. Lastly, there is a direct cremation package which comes without a viewing, funeral or memorial ceremony. It comes with or without a basic cardboard alternative container. All prices are lower if you buy the cremation casket or cremation container from the funeral home.
