Nancy Lee Eyler

Nancy Lee Eyler, 86 of Louisa, Virginia and formerly of Thurmont passed away peacefully May 27, 2021, at RoseWood Village of Charlottesville, VA.

 Born December 1, 1934, in Rocky Ridge, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Samuel Allen & Sadah Rae nee, Lewis Long.

 In addition to her parents Nancy was preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Eyler Sr.; siblings Roland Long, Roy Long, Mary Motter, Betty Motter, Hilda Long, Helen Fornwald, Stanley Long, Shirley Long, and David Long. She is preceded in death by two other sisters, Margaret Hines, and Joyce Keilholtz.

 Nancy enjoyed fishing and camping especially on the Monocacy River and the Chesapeake Bay/ Chincoteague as well as hunting on their land in Thurmont. Many knew Nancy and Bill through their vending company, Bill’s Vending, which they owned and operated for many years. She also adored her beloved pug, Tater.

 Surviving is her sons Bill Eyler Jr (Sandy)., Randy Eyler (Sue); daughters Yvonne (Dennis) Younkins, Roxanne (Ronald) Henke-Symenski, Diane (Russell) Hines; grandchildren Josh Younkins, Nicholas Younkins, Brad Eyler, Trisha Victor, Garrett Younkins, Isaiah Younkins, Aaron Henke, Ashleigh Felpel, Corrin Simmons, Daniel Eyler, Seth Hines, and Meghan Hines, among numerous great-grandchildren.

 Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 11 am located at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery: 8619 Blacks Mill Road Thurmont, MD 21788 with Deacon Charles Barnhart officiating.
