Maurice Emery Bradshaw Jr.

Maurice E. Bradshaw Jr. 83, of Thurmont passed away Monday November 7, 2022, at his home.

 Born April 7, 1939, in Dickerson, Maryland he was the son of the late Maurice & Tressie nee Dove Bradshaw.    

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Jimmy Bradshaw, Charles Bradshaw, Harry Dove; sister Dorothy Miller; sisters-in-law(s) Kathy Bradshaw, Mary Bradshaw; and his beloved cat Snowball.

 During his working life, Maurice drove cement truck for several area companies including LaFarge and Genstar of Frederick where he was awarded driver of the month in June 1989 and April 1996.

 Maurice enjoyed tending his garden, tinkering with, and showing off his classic cars, saltwater fishing, deer hunting, snowmobiling, and time spent at his vacation home in Chincoteague, Virginia.

 He was a member of Mountain View Ministries in Thurmont.

 He is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy of whom he shared 62 years of marriage; sons Larry Bradshaw, Kerwin “Butch” Bradshaw (Sue); brothers Johnny Bradshaw, Billy Bradshaw, Larry Bradshaw, Robert Bradshaw (Joyce); sisters Polly Crouse (Pete), Joan Crouse (Raymond); many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Maurice will also be fondly missed by his cat Clover.

 Maurice’s family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Frederick Health Hospice for their dedication and compassion they showed during this challenging time.

 The family will receive friends on at Mountain View Ministries, 103 Apples Church Road Thurmont, MD 21788 on MONDAY November 14, 2022, at 10 AM with funeral services following promptly at 11 AM with Pastor Jeff Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Maurice’s name to Forever Love Rescue at the Kitty Corner 39 Queen St Gettysburg PA 17325 or Mountain View Ministries , 103 Apples Church Road Thurmont, MD 21788.
