Christopher Michael Willard

Christopher Michael Willard, 47 of Thurmont, Maryland passed away on August 26, 2022, at the MedStar Georgetown Hospital in Washington, D.C. surrounded by the love of his family. 

Born July 9, 1975, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania he was the son of David Ronald Willard and Susan Diane Wachter.

Christopher was a joy to his family and friends. His laughter and comedy will forever be in the hearts of those who love him. Christopher had a passion for nature, hiking with his beloved dogs Gunner and Derby, mountain biking, camping and snowboarding often. He enjoyed watching boxing, cooking, smoking meats and steaming crabs. 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ronald O. Willard, Barbara Hott and James R. Carbaugh. 

He is survived by his sister Kelly Willard, his step mother, Susan Willard and his step father Jay Wachter. Step siblings, Cody Wachter and Stacy Taylor, Ian Mathias and Deanna Sprague.

His grandmother, Margaret Carbaugh, his aunts, Cynthia Smith (Rick), Kathy Lawrence (Steve), Bonnie Coblentz (Ray), Jill Woelfel (Steve), Teresa Haines (Gene), Tina Romero and Tammy Mayer. His uncles, Randy Carbaugh (Vanessa), Terry Willard, and Tony Hott, many cherished cousins and his dear friend Danny Barrick (Sam).

A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 3, 2022 at 11:00 am - Apples Church in Thurmont, MD. Pastor Richard of Jacobs Church will be officiating.
