Wayne Philp Wachter Sr, of Thurmont, passed away at Frederick Health Hospital surrounded by his loving family on April 9th at the age of 76. Born in Frederick on August 17, 1949 he was the son of the late Philp and Helen Wachter.

Wayne was a loving husband, step dad and grandfather. He enjoyed driving his school bus C#8, going out and about everywhere with his wife, spending time with family, going to bingos and gun bashes and finding yard sales. Wayne served 4 years in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela S. Wachter. He is also survived by his step daughter Crystal L. Willard, step grandsons James and David Willard, He is also survived by a step granddaughter Brooklyn Forrest and Delanie Pickett. He is also survived by his Sister in Law Melissa Hanshew and her husband David and nieces and nephews Ashley Evans and her husband Craig, Erica Ault and her husband Chad, Felicity Doody, and Corey Doody and his girlfriend Katie Topper. He is survived by great nieces and nephews Bella Evans, Everleigh Evans, Cameron Hanshew, Nora Ault, Theron Ault.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons and a step son.

Later in the summer there will be a memorial held for family, friends, and all his kids from the bus.

Wayne's care has been entrusted to Black's Funeral Home of Sabillasville, Maryland.
