Virginia Valentine, 77, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Virginia was the daughter of Jacob Thaniel Bentz and Lillian Grace Bentz of Thurmont.

Born in Emmitsburg, Virginia lived a life full of warmth, resilience, and quiet strength. She was known for her kind heart, her love of animals, and the way she made everyone feel welcome.

Virginia worked for many years as a waitress at various restaurants, where she was appreciated for her hard work and friendly smile. She found joy in simple pleasures: camping trips with family, riding in the golf cart, lively games of cornhole, and evenings spent playing cards with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Mark Toms, whose memory she held close to her heart. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald Valentine; her sons, Michael Toms and Ronald Valentine Jr.; her brothers David Bentz, Richard Bentz, and Dale Bentz; her sisters Patty Andrew and Debbie Witmer; and six grandchildren.

Virginia's strength, compassion, and kindness will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Victory Tabernacle church, 6710 Kellys Store Rd., Thurmont, MD 21788.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause she cared deeply about.

Virginia's care has been entrusted to Black's Funeral Home of Sabillasville, Maryland.
