Thomas "Tom" Edward Ott Jr, 72 of Thurmont passed away Monday February 27, 2017 at his home.

Born October 4, 1944 he was the son of Leatrice Coe and the late Thomas E. Ott Sr.

In addition to his father Tom was preceded in death by his Brother Raymond Ott; Sisters Teresa Howard, Carolyn Ott, and Rosemary Ott.

He was an avid card and pool player, enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with all of his family especially his children and grandchildren.

Tom is survived by his loving wife Sherry Ott; sons Thomas III, Michael, James and Vincent Ott; daughters Carolyn Way, Anna Shern, and Vicky Burdette; his mother Leatrice Ott; numerous brothers and sisters; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family and many friends

A celebration of Tom's life will be held on Saturday March 11, 2017 from 1 to 4 P.M. at the Thurmont American Legion Post #168, 8 Park Ln, Thurmont, MD 21788 with Deacon Terry Shern of St. John's Bible Fellowship officiating.

Tom's care has been entrusted to Black's Funeral Home of Thurmont.
