Randall Lee Gonyea, 62, of Emmitsburg, Maryland, passed away on September 2, 2024, at his home in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

Born February 6,1962 in Vermont, he was the son of the late Constance and Ralph Benway (stepfather). He was also preceded in death by his father Ralph Gonyea and brothers Joseph and Rodney (Lonnie) Gonyea.

Randall is survived by sibling's Pamela and Mike Harris, Ralph Gonyea Jr., Deborah Gonyea, David Gonyea, and Allen (Scott) Gonyea. He is also survived by his son's Randall Gonyea Jr. and his significant other, Stewart Marcott, his daughter Kayla Swain, and granddaughter Alexandria Blake Gonyea.

He has many special memories with his niece Allaina Gonyea and children, Heaven Gonyea, JennieAnn, Christiana, and Phoenix Smith, along with niece Kristina Surber. In addition, Randall is survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews in MD, VA, PA, VT, UT, FL, SC, and MO.

Randall had many skills and hobbies which included being a master electrician, mechanical engineer, and a general jack of all trades. Randall loved helping anyone and everyone in any way possible. He loved building things, fast expensive cars, and tearing things apart just to put them back together and make them better than they were. He had a love for music, which included playing his drums. Randall loved picking up his sister Debbie's 6-pound chihuahua, Tinkerbell in his new cars just to make sure she was the first to get a ride, but above and beyond all that, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Arrangements are private and at the convenience of the family.

Randall's care has been entrusted to Black's Funeral Home of Sabillasville.
