Paul L. Morris, 89 of Rocky Ridge, formerly of Damascus passed away Tuesday January 17, 2017 at Golden Living Center of Frederick.

Born January 08, 1928 in Kirsey, Kentucky he was the son of the late Estee and Ruby Smith Morris.

In addition to his parents Paul was preceded in death by his wife Daisy Fraley Morris, a son David English, two brothers Harold and J.D. Morris, and several grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons; Tracy Morris, Rick English, Gary Morris, and Scott Morris, daughters; Bonnie Byers and Darlene Booty, a brother; Gene Morris, caregiver and friend Kay Rutledge and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Paul was a veteran of both the US Army and the Merchant Marines. He was a member of the Thurmont American Legion and a life member of the Montgomery County Fair Board Throughout the years he enjoyed RV'ing, bluegrass festivals, watching the Washington Redskins, and fishing especially for catfish. Above all else Paul most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren.

A celebration of Paul's life will be announced at a later date.

Paul's care has been entrusted to Blacks Mortuary & Cremation Services of Thurmont.
