Minna Katharina Spielmann Stitely, 90 of Thurmont Md. Passed away Wednesday October 9 th 2024 at Fredrick Memorial Hospital.

Born June 11, 1934 in Germany she was the daughter of the late Ludwig and Marie Protzmann nee Spielmann.

Minna came to the united states in December of 1959. She proudly gained her citizenship on April 4 th 1975. Minna was part of a ballet group that traveled Europe. She enjoyed dancing and her black poodle Babbett. Minna was united in marriage to James Stitely who proceeded her in death. In addition to her husband she is proceeded in death by three sisters Lieselotte Hitzemann, Kitty Staub, and Bridget Looyen. After the death of her husband she fell in love with Seigfried Leonhardt and they planned to marry, Seigfried unfortunately passed away in 2023 after a long battle with illness before they could marry. Services will remain private and at the families convenience. Arrangements have been entrusted to Acacia Society of Md.
