Marian Grace Pelkey nee Troxell of Thurmont passed away Sunday March 4, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center with her son Joseph by her side. Born July 10, 1935 in Woodsboro, Maryland she was the daughter of the late George Russell & Mabel nee Wastler Troxell. In addition to her parents Marian was preceded in death by her husband Robert W Pelkey. She is survived by her sons Joseph R Pelkey, Robert Lyons (Sandra); brothers Bernard L Troxell, James B Troxell and Roger L Troxell , sister Margaret J Carbaugh; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. During her working life Marian worked for many companies including: Claire Frock company, Lewis's Gift Store, N.E.T.C Librarian, Pryor's Orchard, and FCPS Food service She was a life long member of Apples Church and made many friends and touched many hearts through all of her volunteer work. Friends may call on Friday March 9, 2018 at the Apples United Church of Christ; 7908 Apples Church Rd, Thurmont, MD starting at 10 A.M. with funeral services following at 12 P.M. with Reverend Laura Robeson officiating.
