Harold Calvin Hargett, 89 of Frederick passed away on Saturday October 21, 2017 at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy.

Born on November 20 1927 in Ijamsville, Maryland  he was the son of the late Conard and Maude nee Stup Hargett.

Harold operated several businesses throughout his life including Hargett's Texaco of Frederick as well as Hargett's Grocery of Mountaindale. Additionally he worked for National Institute of Health as a animal caretaker.

Harold was passionate about hunting and fishing, especially deer hunting, he enjoyed his sports including the Baltimore Orioles.

He was a loving father and husband who was always there for those he loved and will be greatly missed by his wife, Helen; a son, Harold  E. Hargett & Betty; Daughters, Ruth Ann Ruffner & Thomas, Carol Lee Hargett, Grandchildren; David, Jacob, Savannah (Hargett), Thomas II, Jennifer (Ruffner), Great-Grandchildren; Dylan, Ryleah, London (Ruffner), Ian, Colin, Emma, Jake (Holler).

Arrangements are private and at the convenience of the family.

Harold's care has been entrusted to Black's Funeral Home of Thurmont.
