Delores Virginia Hanshew, 83 of Frederick passed away August 30, 2025 at her home.

Born in Frederick, Maryland on June 15, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Grover "Jeff" Leroy and Maudie Arlila nee Ramsburg Hanshew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Ruth Blank.

Throughout her working life she worked in childcare and was a loving stay-at-home mother. Delores was a major Elvis Presley fan, loved flowers, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving is her son David Hanshew (Melissa); daughter Wanda Lynch; her beloved grandchildren Amber Lynch, Amanda Lynch, David Hanshew Jr, Austin Hanshew (Lauren), Dylan Hanshew, Ashley Evans (Craig); Erica Ault (Chad); Felicity Doody, Corey Doody, Zah (George) Randolph; adored great-grandchildren Emma, JA'Khari, Cameron, Leighton, JA'Khyla, Tryston, Khyzier; and close nephews Edward Shelton Sr., and Edward Shelton Jr.

Arrangements are private and the convenience of the family.

Black's Funeral Home of Sabillasville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
