Charles Russell Kidd, 69 of Thurmont died Thursday March 29, 2018 at his home.

Born on December 13, 1948 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Russell Irvin and Emma Louise nee Zile Kidd.

Charles was a Vietnam Era Combat Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for and retired from K-mart as a retail sales manager.

He enjoyed fishing, football, and baseball; especially cheering on his favorite teams the Ravens and Orioles. Charles also enjoyed spending time with family and friends that he loved.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Debra Kidd, sons Russell, John & Emily Kidd, daughter Angela Harbin, brother Richard Kidd, sister Norma Prince, grandchildren Kane, Lidia, Allen & Madelyn, and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins. He is also survived by special friends Walter "Petey" Groomes and Richard Hubbard.

Graveside services will be held at Garrison Forest Veteran's Cemetery on Monday April 23, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. with Deacon Charles Barnhart officiating.

Charles' care has been entrusted to Black's Funeral Home of Thurmont.
