Bernardine L. Shockey, 69 of Waynesboro went to be with the Lord on Sunday June 4, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.

Born April 16, 1948 in Lantz, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Christian & Ruth McKendrick Shockey of Sabillasville.

In addition to her parents Bernardine is preceded in death by her three brothers Rodney, John and her twin Bernard "Joe" Shockey and a sister Andrea Hall.

For Bernardine her faith was a keystone of her life, she accepted Jesus Christ as her savior in 1979 and knew Heaven would be her eternal home.

She was a member of the Antrim Faith Baptist Church of Waynesboro and was very active prior to her illness.

Bernardine was the loving mother of Dawn M. Shockey (Paul Wolfe) of Waynesboro; Sisters Joanne Thompson of Waynesboro, Christine Fogle of Thurmont, and Susan Fogle of Smithsburg; and many nieces and nephews.

She will be forever missed by her "Sunshine" Mason Walter.

Bernardine's caring nature drew people to her and she will be fondly remembered by numerous friends, especially long time cherished neighbors the McRae family.

Friends may call on Friday June 9, 2017 at the Antrim Faith Baptist Church; (Renaissance Place) 248 W. Second Street Waynesboro, PA 17268 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. with funeral services following promptly with Pastor Herbert Busick officiating.

Please wear something red, as red was one of Bernardine's favorite colors.

Internment will be at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.
