Angelia Sue
Miller
d. Sep 29, 2026
Angelia “Angie” Miller was born on August 20, 1966, and passed away on September 29 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.
Growing up, Angie loved the water, swimming, and water skiing. She played in her high school marching band and enjoyed going to WQCM dances as a teenager.
Angie enjoyed watching basketball and football and especially enjoyed watching her nephews play baseball when they were younger. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She especially enjoyed Christmas lights, cherry chocolate kiss cookies a pumpkin rolls made especially for her.
Angie loved visits to Ocean City, her coffee and always made room for ice cream.
Angie was interested in current events and cared deeply about people who were overlooked or treated unfairly. You’d often find her spending time on TikTok and following true-crime stories.
One of the profound losses of Angie’s life was the death of her son, Devin Russell Hewitt. She loved and missed him deeply. He remained an important part of her heart and her story.
Angie was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Jean Miller; her father, Clayton Miller, who raised her and her biological father, Gary Ensminger.
She is survived by her son, Derek Ryan Hewitt; her grandson, Mason Ryan Hewitt; her sister, Amy Lynne Schrock, and her spouse, Michael Schrock; and her nephews, Hunter Michael Schrock and Zachary Ryan Schrock. She also leaves behind extended family and friends who knew her during many different chapters of her life.
We remember Angie with compassion and grace for the things we understood and the things we did not.
Angie’s family will gather privately to celebrate her life. Those who knew Angie are warmly invited to share memories, stories and photos here, so that together we can remember the many moments and connections that were part of her life.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Angie may make a contribution toward her funeral expenses. ( 21 E Potomac St, Williamsport, MD 21795) We are especially grateful to those who have reached out to ask how they can help.
