Vesta Louise nee Dick Black, 73 of Sabillasville passed away on Thursday April 12, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born November 20, 1944 in Hagerstown, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Ralph C. and Florence J. nee Alsip Dick.
Throughout the years Vesta enjoyed knitting, sewing, embroidery, and making crafts; especially Christmas wreaths. She additionally enjoyed yard sales, shooting her 12 gauge shotgun, and spending time with her loving family.
Vesta is survived by her husband of 55 years Glenn Black; sons Glenn Jr., Robert E., & Joseph A. Black; daughter Amanda Black; brother Billy Sprinkle, sisters Catherine Parsons, Naomia & Bill Thompson; grandchildren Melissa Black & Victoria Moore; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Friends may call Friday April 20, 2018 from 10 A.M. at Deerfield United Methodist Church 16405 Foxville Deerfield Road Sabillasville, MD with funeral services beginning promptly at 12:00 with Pastor Ray Dudley officiating. Interment following in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Vesta's care has been entrusted to Black's Funeral Home of Thurmont.
