Pauline Milda Wilson

Pauline (Polly) Milda Wilson, 63, of Frederick, Maryland passed away on Thursday June 20, 2019, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born on March 24, 1956, in Washington D.C, she was the daughter of the late Sigurds (Ziggy) & Harriett George Ekis.

Polly is survived by her son Justin Matthew Wilson (Linette), granddaughter Valeria; sister Shirley Ekis Harrington (Tom); brother Kip Ekis; niece Meghan Harrington, nephew Michael Harrington, great niece Kamara Sims, great nephew Melvin Hayes; best friend, and kindred spirit, of 38 years, Cindy Baumgartner.

Polly was very passionate about many things in her life, loving everything about the great outdoors; whether it was fishing or hiking up the Smokey Mountains or camping at the PT-2 site in Gore, West Virginia. She loved gardening and collected many things throughout her life, from antiques to shark teeth. 

When Polly wasn't tackling the great outdoors, she enjoyed needle point, baking, and rocking to classic 70’s music. Above all else Polly had a huge heart for all her family and friends, preferred to give rather than receive, loved to tell stories and sharing memories; never selfish but eager to share knowledge and she enjoyed taking pictures and videos “capturing the moments”. Valeria, especially, brought such joy to Polly. They spent countless hours together, having so much fun, sharing hugs and laughter, every moment making memories to forever treasure and sharing a connection beyond measure.

Memorial arrangements are private and at the convenience of the family.

Polly’s care has been entrusted to Black’s Funeral Home of Thurmont.
