Michael William Asbury

Michael William Asbury, 30, of Sharpsburg passed from this life unexpectedly on Wednesday November 27, 2019.Born February 9, 1989 in Washington D.C. he was the son of William Riley III & Robin Lynn Asbury.

He is preceded in death by maternal great-grandfather Jethro Smith, maternal great-grandmother Esther Smith, maternal grandmother Betty Smith and paternal grandfather William Purdum

Mike was a wonderful man and extremely talented. He enjoyed and excelled at wood working and could make anything from wood. Along with woodworking, Mike was an outdoors man and would spend every moment he could being outside and enjoying nature. He loved to listen to music and would enjoy being in his shop where he would wood work or outside messing with his truck that he loved. Mike had obtained many certifications and licensures in Agriculture and continued finding new ways to learn more.

In addition to his parents Mike will lovingly be remembered by his wife Brooke Greer Asbury; brother Brandon Asbury; sister Brooke Asbury; paternal grandmother Janet Sier; maternal grandfather Sterling Smith; great-aunt Arvella Anders; and his dogs Duke & Tucker .

Mike will also be fondly remembered by lifelong friends, Charlie Burriss and Conner Clifford, as well as  many other childhood friends who he spent many memorable times with growing up in Damascus where he graduated from Damascus High School.

Family will receive friends on Saturday December 7, 2019 at Difference Makers Church 11210 Bethesda Church Rd. Damascus, MD 20872 at 2 PM with funeral services following promptly at 3 PM with Pastor Clark Baisden officiating.

Interment will follow in the Clarksburg United Methodist Cemetery, 23425 Spire Street Clarksburg, MD 20871. His family invites those who would like to tell stories and remember the amazing man Mike was with refreshments that will be served at Urbana Fire Hall, 3602 Urbana Pike Frederick, MD 21704.
