Fred Wilson Shawley III

Fred Wilson Shawley III, 33 of Fairplay passed from this world on Sunday December 31, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center.

Born February 4, 1984 in Hagerstown he was the son of Fred and Tammy Shawley.

Fred was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Fred Sr. and Sally Shawley, and his maternal grandparents Herbert (Gene) and Phyllis Younker, and an uncle Robert Dunn.

Fred was passionate about helping others and was a member of the local volunteer fire company and was formally a certified firefighter/paramedic.

He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes and atv’s, music, Pitbull dogs and being with family and friends.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his girlfriend Jessica Weaver and her son Parker, an unborn baby girl, several uncles & aunts, and many cousins.

A celebration of Fred’s life will be held at Fairplay Volunteer Fire Company 18002 Tilghmanton Rd, Fairplay, MD 21733 on Sunday January 14, 2018 at 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Baby Shawley c/o Debbie Filling: 1025 Mace Ave. Baltimore, MD 21221, Williamsport Ambulance, or Fairplay Volunteer Fire Company

Fred’s care has been entrusted to Black’s Funeral Home of Thurmont.
